The post Jet Lag: The Game appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
Where in the world is Sam Denby?

That question’s kind of the point of the YouTube channel Jet Lag: The Game.

Denby, along with friends Ben Doyle and Adam Chase, play a variety of original games around the world. It all started when they decided to compete in a giant game of Connect Four, wherein they attempted to “score” four U.S. states in a straight line, claiming them by visiting each state’s capital.

From there, the trio has played giant forms of other popular games, too: They’ve played tag across Europe; they’ve enjoyed hide and seek through Switzerland; they’ve engaged in capture the flag throughout Japan.

Of course, they’re not just playing the game as you or I may know it. Each version here comes with unique rules and challenges to make it more enjoyable, both to play and watch.

But like actual jet lag, might some of the other things you’ll find on this channel catch you off guard?

POSITIVE CONTENT

Each season on the channel comes with a variety of countries and games. Likewise, each game comes with its own rules and unique challenges. These games and challenges showcase the trio’s creativity in coming up with them, and they could encourage viewers to create their own games, too.

The group ensures that games contain rules that make their challenges safe. For instance, players aren’t allowed to go over the speed limit; they’re required to eat at least one meal a day; and they pause games to spend the night in hotels instead of playing through the night.

It’s evident that the three guys are good friends simply having fun—no matter where in the world they are.

CONTENT CONCERNS

The most frequent concern on the channel is crude language: We heard profanities such as “a–,” “d–n” and “h—”. We also hear God’s name used in vain (and sometimes paired with “d–n”). Likewise, Jesus’ name is also misused. And on a similar note, the f-word and s-word are censored (except for one s-word, which can be seen in a text message).

In a handful of challenges across the seasons, a contestant must drink enough alcohol to get drunk.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

Jet Lag: The Game really is a bit like the YouTube version of The Amazing Race.

And that shouldn’t come as a surprise: Denby, who also runs the YouTube channel Wendover Productions, told Wired that the global travel gameshow had been a big inspiration for him. But instead of traveling around the world to get to challenges, the travel itself often is the challenge.

Too bad, then, that Jet Lag: The Game comes with language concerns as well as challenges that include getting inebriated. In those respects, this channel is by no means any more content-free than the broadcast reality show that inspired it.

Pokimane https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/pokimane/ Fri, 20 Dec 2024 13:00:00 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=33502 Imane Anys, aka Pokimane, is well known for her ‘Fortnite’ streams. But some elements of her YouTube channel aren’t appropriate for young fans of that game.

The post Pokimane appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
There’s a chance you’ve seen Imane Anys, better known by her YouTube channel, Pokimane, without even knowing it. That’s because she, along with a handful of other prominent streamers, had a cameo in the 2019 movie Free Guy—reacting to Guy’s gradual growth into sentience.

I’d speculate that many video game fans who recognized her in that film also follow Anys on Twitch. After all, as of late 2024, she’s the most-watched female Twitch streamer (and 13th overall), with more than nine million followers. And while she got her start with League of Legends, Anys also found fame playing Fortnite, the latter of which still dominates her most-viewed videos on her YouTube channel.

These days, however, most of the recent videos on the channel are vlogs, from traveling to Japan on vacation to moving into a new home.

POSITIVE CONTENT

In many of her Fortnite videos, Anys joins with random people and helps them to win a match. If they have a bad game, she’ll usually stick around for another round, especially if the person she’s playing with is friendly and a fan.

In other videos, Anys discusses life events and provides comfort to those going through similar things. For instance, when describing going through a breakup, she helps viewers understand how to overcome the pain that comes with romantic heartbreak. She also discusses cutting back on making content due to the emotional toll being a “content machine” took on her life.

CONTENT CONCERNS

A few videos on Pokimane showcase the harassment she Anys gets for being a female streamer. In these videos, Anys reads through some comments she’s received while determining if the commenter should be permanently banned or forgiven; many commenters sexually harass her, referencing sex, masturbation and inappropriate requests regarding her body.

General sexual content appears on the channel, too, such as when Anys uses an eye tracker to see if she can avoid looking at men and women in revealing outfits—a video which includes women in bras and small bikinis and men in wrestling garb that hides little. We hear occasional suggestive banter, too.

In one joke, Anys depicts Jesus and God the Father discussing an inappropriate comment she’s received, and she imagines them using use crude language while talking about it.

Anys uses the f-word and s-word. We also heard vulgarities such as “a–,” “b–ch,” “h—” and “p-ss.” God’s name is used in vain, and Jesus’ name is likewise used in vain, too.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

Anyscomes across as very friendly to the strangers she gets partnered with in online shooters. But despite that kindness, viewers will encounter many adult topics on the channel, from crude language to sexual references. So while games like Fortnite might attract a younger fanbase, Anys’ YouTube channel won’t be appropriate for those same children.

Sam Reid https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/sam-reid/ Fri, 29 Nov 2024 15:05:00 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=33299 Sam Reid succeeds at crafting a “feel-good variety show about food, travel, and the questions you didn’t know you had.”

The post Sam Reid appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
The self-described “fast food enthusiast” comes with more data than you’d think.

At least, that was my experience on Sam Reid’s eponymous YouTube channel.

The channel, which also goes by the name The Studio Revue, isn’t all fast food, to be clear. But most of what Reid does revolves in some way around food, whether it be fast, slow or cooked at home.

For instance, Reid travels the country looking for the best wings in each state. He eats nothing but the same restaurant for long periods of time. And he takes on food-based challenges (such as eating a dozen of donuts in the middle of a five-mile run in the “Krispy Kreme Challenge”). And when he’s not eating food, he’s traveling to interesting places around the United States.

And with most videos comes research. You see, Reid isn’t just eating food for the sake of it. Much of the time, he’s trying to glean what the best deal is for your money—or how the food may affect your health. And as he tabulates the numbers, he’ll provide that information to back up his claims.

Note: Sam Reid was requested by a user of Plugged In. Have a YouTube channel you’d like us to review? Submit your request by sending it to letters@pluggedin.com, or contact us via Facebook or Instagram so we can check it out!

POSITIVE CONTENT

Reid compares a lot of food-based experiences on his channel. For instance, he rates various airport lounges on their quality and food selection, and he ranks hotels based on their free breakfasts. When he does these types of videos, he makes sure to factor in components that may affect the experience beyond taste, such as cost, healthy alternatives and general variety.

Reid likewise performed a documentary-like experiment wherein he ate nothing but Taco Bell for 30 days to test how it would affect his health. He then provided the results in the video description for anyone desiring to read them. Reid’s documentary kept his viewers aware of his health throughout the video and included health checkups to make sure he remained safe.

And in similar videos that might cause health issues, Reid warns his audience about the risk.

Reid frequently mentions matching money used to make his videos and donating the match to charities like Feeding America. Finally, his videos come with high-quality editing for a channel of its relatively small size.

CONTENT CONCERNS

Reid plays one video which contains actor Hugh Jackman saying “crap.” Someone else in a video misuses God’s name once.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

Sam Reid seeks to be a “feel-good variety show about food, travel, and the questions you didn’t know you had.” And considering how little negative content the channel has, we’d say that Reid has succeeded in that feel-good goal.

Haley Pham https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/haley-pham/ Fri, 11 Oct 2024 12:08:00 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=32870 Haley Pham may just, ironically, encourage you to hop off of YouTube and bury yourself deeply in a book instead.

The post Haley Pham appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
Have a favorite book? There’s a good chance Haley Pham has already read it, then talked about it on her eponymous YouTube channel.

She’s got a whole host of books. She’s read thousands of them, and she doesn’t show any indication of stopping her passion.

Sometimes, Haley spends a week or two reading fantasy. Other times, she’ll read books based on a location she’s visiting. And sometimes, she asks others for recommendations and reads those suggestions. When she finishes a given book, Pham will give her honest review of it for those who may be interested in reading it as well.

Of course, that’s not all she does. When she’s not reading, Pham vlogs her adventures around the country with her friends and her husband, fellow YouTuber Ryan Trahan.

But chances are, even in those moments, she’ll probably have a book just offscreen.

POSITIVE CONTENT

Pham gives helpful and reasonable reviews of each book she reads. She explains the general plot, and she shares what she liked and disliked about the characters, the author’s writing style, the setting and more. She’ll sometimes read a quote from the book to give her audience a taste of the writing style as well. Viewers may be inspired by Pham’s example to look for books to read, too.

In her reviews, Pham warns viewers about books that contain unsavory elements. Most notably, she tries to avoid books that contain, as she puts it, “spicy” content—that is, books containing sexually explicit passages. And because many romance and fantasy books do have such content, it’s helpful to get that warning from Pham so viewers won’t be surprised by it in a given book.

Pham is a Christian, and we occasionally see elements of her faith in her videos, including Bible reading and prayer. She often wears a visible cross necklace as well.

We also get plenty of rapid-fire commentary on what’s going on in Pham’s life at any given moment, like, say, the haircut she just got. Those personal elements likely broaden her appeal and help explain why she’s got more than 3.4 million followers.

CONTENT CONCERNS

Some of Pham’s older videos contain light language, including “t-tties” and “crap.” Likewise, God’s name is used in vain in one of those videos.

Though Pham warns about sexual content, viewers won’t always hear warnings for books that contain crude language, affairs or violence.

In one video, Pham and her then-boyfriend, Trahan, answer personal questions, one of which asks whether they’re virgins. And a self-care video contains a clip of Pham taking a bath, though nothing can be seen.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

If you’re looking for a information about a broad spectrum of books, Haley Phammay be able to help you find a new book to read. Her reviews are thoughtful. And because she reads many different genres, chances are you may find a story in which you’d be interested. While some of her older videos have a few content concerns to note, her newer videos tend to stay as clean as a freshly printed novel.

Mrwhosetheboss https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/mrwhosetheboss/ Fri, 06 Sep 2024 17:38:53 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=32584 Mrwhosetheboss is a technology-focused YouTube channel with a couple of minor bugs.

The post Mrwhosetheboss appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
Who’s the boss? When it comes to technology, it might just be Mrwhosetheboss.

The channel is run by Arun Maini, an English YouTuber with a love of all things tech focused. From product reviews to explainer videos to tech tests, Maini’s channel educates (and entertains) audiences about all things technological.

And while technological may mean a video about a phone or computer, that term may also apply to, say, an explainer piece on how cryptocurrency works or even a gadget that makes shaving corn easier.

As the corn shaver might indicate, not every item on the channel needs wires to get a review. But with nearly 2,000 videos to watch, it’s evident that the channel just may wire avid viewers into a better understanding of technology.

POSITIVE CONTENT

Like Marques Brownlee, Maini posts reviews of various products that are informative and fair, judging the technology based on similar products on the market and addressing the positive or negative aspects with each one. Maini will explain not only how something compares to a similar model but how that comparison will impact the user’s experience, too. Likewise, in other videos, Maini will order a wide variety of products and rate his user experience with them in rapid-fire succession.

Mrwhosetheboss breaks concepts down further, too. He’ll explain how complex technology works and why certain features help it accomplish its intended design goal. For instance, in one video, Maini explains how the focal length of a camera lens impacts the type of photo or video a user can take. On a similar note, Maini posts explainer pieces, such as a video that breaks down how cryptocurrency works or how the graphic-card company NVIDIA grew so important in recent years.

Furthermore, a couple of his videos warn users about a wallpaper or an Instagram story that can break their phone if sought out. He also informs viewers about tech-based companies that have engaged in less-than-savory business tactics, such as dark patterns and fraud.

CONTENT CONCERNS

The biggest content concern here is language. Though infrequent, we did occasionally hear words such as “d–n,” “h—” and “p-ss.” God’s name and Jesus’ name are both used in vain in some videos as well. Though censored, he quotes a vulgar tech term which contains the s-word in it.

Other concerns are minor, such as Maini referencing a painting of a censored naked woman or a tour of MrBeast’s YouTube studio where Maini points out one conference room’s name which references breasts.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

In one video, Maini makes a time-lapse video of various models of iPhone to discover which one has the longest battery life (a video he repeats for other brands of phone, too). In another, he buys and tests an assortment of technology he finds online, qualified with a single adjective to describe them in his Google search: “satisfying, or useless, or futuristic,” for instance.

The former video was more informative from a product perspective. The latter, while still somewhat educational, was more entertaining.

And I think that’s what makes Mrwhosetheboss a rather enjoyable channel to review: it isn’t purely focused on one type of content, whether that be product review, an explainer piece or something just for fun. Maini covers a wide assortment of ideas, each of which will appeal to different viewers.

The channel isn’t entirely free of bugs: light crude language as well as misuses of God’s name may constitute critical errors for some users. That said, Mrwhosetheboss is still a software upgrade compared to many other YouTube channels with more language and content concerns than this one.

Preston https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/preston/ Fri, 30 Aug 2024 16:12:10 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=32541 Preston posts a wide assortment of content across his many channels—and a bit of it might make you press pause.

The post Preston appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
No one can say he’s not organized.

I’m referring to Preston Arsement, the 30-year-old personality behind many popular YouTube channels, including Preston, PrestonPlayz, PrestonGames, PrestonReacts and TBNRFrags.

What do each of these channels have to offer? Well, let’s find out.

His namesake channel, Preston, is the largest of the bunch, boasting a subscriber count of more than 27 million. It contains mostly skits, challenges and myth busting, and videos often include his wife and real-life family members, too.

Meanwhile, PrestonPlayz, PrestonGamez and TBNRFrags (the latter acronym standing for “The Best Never Rest”) have a combined count of 28 million subscribers and focus primarily on Minecraft, Roblox and first-person shooter games such as Fortnite, respectively.

Finally, PrestonReacts, as you might expect, is Arsement’s content reaction channel, and it adds another 3 million subscribers to his channel conglomerate.

Cumulatively, the channels provide subscribers with nearly 8,000 videos to watch. With so much content waiting to be absorbed, what can audiences expect to see?

POSITIVE CONTENT

The vast majority of Arsement’s content is quite tame. Many videos focus on harmless pranks, challenges or gaming that likely won’t be of much concern to parents (with some exceptions, noted below). While there isn’t much that we’d rate as strictly “positive” or “negative,” a large amount of his content falls somewhere in between, in a purely neutral territory.

What’s more, Arsement is very friendly and positive, as are those who appear in his videos.

CONTENT CONCERNS

While Arsement’s modern content is based in games to which children typically gravitate, some older videos include game franchises that parents might not want those same young children watching, such as Far Cry 3.

On a similar note, some of Arsement’s Roblox content on PrestonGamez includes horror titles with jump scares and elements (like serial killers and demons). PrestonPlayz, while mainly sticking to Minecraft, also has videos from horror games such as Five Nights at Freddy’s and Poppy Playtime. PrestonReacts likewise posts a number of reaction videos to scary content.

A number of videos, primarily on PrestonReacts, contain a variety of sexual references as jokes. Similarly, some of the thumbnails of these videos include women in bikinis (a choice we speculate was made as sensual clickbait, since the videos we viewed didn’t feature anything similar to the thumbnail).

Language is minimal. One video contains an f-word euphemism, and we heard “crap” in a single video. However, God’s name is infrequently used in vain. Likewise, in one reaction video, the subject of one video takes Jesus’ name in vain.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

So, is Preston appropriate for your child? Well, that may depend on which of his channels you visit.

As a whole, Arsement’s channels aren’t that bad—and were you to watch a random video from the aforementioned near-8,000, chances are you probably wouldn’t find much issue with it. However, there are some exceptions.

We found PrestonReacts to be the worst of the channels in terms of content concerns due to some sexual quips and videos containing content frightening to children. And while many videos on PrestonGamez and PrestonPlayz were fine, the gaming channels likewise had some scary content on them, too—scares that, while unlikely to phase a teenager, might cause elementary-age kids some distress.

The main channel, Preston, seemed to be the tamest of the bunch. Given that it’s the most popular channel by far, that may come as a relief to families.

Brent Rivera https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/brent-rivera/ Fri, 16 Aug 2024 12:00:00 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=32418 Brent Rivera is surprisingly inappropriate for a YouTube channel that has such a broad—and huge—subscriber base.

The post Brent Rivera appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
Skits and vlogs are all the rage on YouTube. Just as Brent Rivera.

His eponymous YouTube channel boasts more than 30 million subscribers, all hoping to see videos with zany titles such as “BREAKING 100 RULES IN 24 HOURS!!”, GUY FLIRTS WITH MY SISTER IN FRONT OF ME” and “THEY WALKED IN ON US IN THE BATHROOM!”

Yep. There may be an issue with the Caps Lock.

Those video titles suggest that parents may have some issues to think through before letting their kids watch. And boy, are they right.

POSITIVE CONTENT

Brent and his friends seem to have fun performing their skits and pranks.

CONTENT CONCERNS

A large amount of Rivera’s videos reference sexual situations: A woman in revealing clothing dances on a pole in once instance; in another, a prank makes it appear like a man and woman are kissing while naked in the shower. And so on. Some pranks reference intimate body parts. Rivera plays a game which involves him and a woman touching each other’s bodies. Men often dress up in female clothing, and in one video, a few men are tasked with wearing thongs. Men and women wear swimsuits. Rivera and his sister perform strangely intimate yoga moves together in public. They also reference other sexual topics. Rivera is pantsed in public.

Additionally, thumbnails often reference sexual situations: A video depicts a man and woman under the covers in bed with the clickbait title “they caught us doing this in bed.” Dozens of videos display men and women kissing.

Rivera has frequently been accused of stealing ideas and thumbnails from other creators. Some videos mimic the beats of other content creators’ videos almost exactly. Many of these copied videos often end up taking away potential views (and revenue) from the smaller YouTubers who originally created them.

Light language, such as “h—” is used. God’s name is frequently taken in vain. Heavier language, like the s-word, f-word and “b–ch” are censored.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

To be as honest as I can be, I’m not sure who Rivera’s channel is for. The thumbnails, skits and acting certainly feel like the channel hopes to attract younger viewers. But the sexual content present makes it wholly inappropriate for that potential audience. That, and with the many allegations claiming that Rivera copies a lot of video ideas from other channels, parents may want to encourage their children to skip this one.

JaidenAnimations https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/jaidenanimations/ Fri, 17 May 2024 15:31:38 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=31707 JaidenAnimations crafts fun animated stories. But families should consider a couple of important issues.

The post JaidenAnimations appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>

Animators need to do more than simply draw compelling characters. They need to tell engaging stories with their drawings, ones that’ll captivate their audience and make them laugh (or cry) throughout. And Jaiden Dittfach, content creator behind JaidenAnimations, is able to do both.

In her work, Dittfach primarily uses things she’s personally experienced throughout her life, from going to the dentist to traveling to Japan. And while not every topic she speaks on may sound initially worth a 10-minute video, her nearly 13 million subscribers will testify to her ability to be funny and engaging on almost any topic.

POSITIVE CONTENT

As mentioned before, Dittfach is a wonderful storyteller, capable of weaving fun stories together that typically last 10 to 20 minutes. Whether she’s describing a trip to Japan or her multiple ventures in Pokémon Nuzlocke (a challenge which makes a Pokémon game much more difficult), Dittfach keeps viewers hooked until the very end.

For the most part, JaidenAnimations strives to be quite friendly to younger audiences. In the instances in which she does touch on topics that are more adult (such as when she describes confusing tetanus for AIDS), she tries to not go into too much detail for the sake of any potential watching children.

CONTENT CONCERNS

Nevertheless, some of Dittfach’s stories contain elements that families may find inappropriate. In one video, Dittfach recounts trying out five psychics, and the video includes references to tarot cards, palm readings and chakras. Likewise, another video gets into Dittfach learning about her sexuality, which she describes as “aromantic and asexual.” (Rarely does Dittfach’s sexuality come into play in her other videos.)

Other videos contain some light swearing, including words like “d–n,” “h—,” “p-ssed” and “crap.” God’s name is occasionally used in vain. And there was one instance in which an s-word is cut off.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

With some exceptions (particularly the aforementioned two video topics and occasional swearing), JaidenAnimations is an enjoyable watch. Younger audiences will certainly be drawn in by Dittfach’s fun art style. However, because some videos contain content that may not be appropriate for said children, we’d caution parents to watch beforehand to determine if JaidenAnimations is right for them.

Harry Pinero https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/harry-pinero/ Fri, 15 Mar 2024 12:00:00 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=31291 Harry Pinero welcomes viewers into his life through vlog and challenge content. But his use of profanity and crude jokes is not so welcoming.

The post Harry Pinero appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
When it comes to typical YouTube content, you probably know what to expect: challenge videos, friendly banter, vlogs. The list goes on.

British influencer Harry Pinero fits neatly into this quintessential description of a YouTube creator.

Through a combination of vlog and game formats, Harry shares his passion for travel, soccer and friends. In one video, Harry documents his luxurious travels to Qatar. In longer format videos titled, “The Inside Scoop,” Harry discusses soccer players and shares updates about the sport. And several videos feature Harry attempting internet challenges with his friends.

Harry also has a significant social media presence on Instagram, and he occasionally streams video game content on Twitch.

Whether he’s roaming the streets of Oxford or riding Mario Kart-themed go-karts, Harry’s upbeat personality enlivens his experiences and engages his internet audience.

POSITIVE CONTENT

What is YouTube if not a place for viewers to experience vicarious adventures? In several of his vlog videos, viewers can virtually accompany Harry on his luxurious travels. Some videos include inside looks at fancy, first-class flights, VIP experiences and extravagant hotel rooms—making for interesting (though potentially envy-inducing) viewing.

Segments of Harry’s videos also include positive messages about healthy lifestyle choices, and one video is dedicated to Harry’s efforts for a soccer-related charity organization. In one YouTube Shorts video, Harry discusses how he overcame a gambling addiction.

Harry also displays generally positive relationships with his friends. He talks to them about his love for his son, and the friends seem to support one another.

CONTENT CONCERNS

While Harry’s friendships do seem genuine, many of their conversations involve digs at one another. While these jabs are done in jest, parents may not want their young kids to emulate such banter. Additionally, some of Harry’s jokes rely on crude humor. For example, in one video, someone offhandedly mentions a dangerous drug, and later someone crudely discusses flatulence. In some of his shorter videos, Harry’s content includes sexual references and innuendos.

Men sometimes vlog shirtless in videos. Harry and his friends occasionally talk about alcohol.

But the primary concern in Harry’s content is profanity. Videos include the f-word, s-word and n-word, and these profanities usually remain uncensored. Videos also include “d–n,” “h—,” “b–tard” and misuses of God’s name.

While it doesn’t come up often, Harry is Muslim, and he occasionally discusses his faith on the channel. In one video, Harry exclaims, “All glory to Allah,” before he plays a soccer game. And in another video, he mentions his Umrah—a ceremonial pilgrimage to Mecca.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

Anyone who spends time on YouTube will find Harry’s formats familiar. His reaction videos, guessing-game content and “try not to laugh” challenges aren’t exactly original ideas. Still, like many other successful YouTubers, Harry Pinero mixes his passions and personality with these dependable formats in a manner that resonates with thousands of viewers.

Unfortunately, Harry Pinera’s otherwise tame content includes frequent uncensored profanity and occasional crude or sexual jokes.

Airrack https://www.pluggedin.com/youtube-reviews/airrack/ Fri, 02 Feb 2024 13:00:00 +0000 https://www.pluggedin.com/?post_type=youtube-reviews&p=30982 Airrack is the adult version of popular MrBeast-style challenge channels.

The post Airrack appeared first on Plugged In.

]]>
“I’m just a kid with a dream.”

So reads the bio of popular challenge vlogger Eric Decker on the YouTube Channel Airrack. And what dreams might those entail? Well, his videos just may provide a clue.

In one, Decker breaks the Guinness World Record for largest pizza ever made. In another, he forces his friends to play “real life” games of Would You Rather, urging them to actually choose and do the option they’ve chosen. In a third, he hires bodyguards to see if the public will think he’s someone famous.

(OK, that doesn’t exactly shed light into what sort of dream Airrack is having, but at least the pizza one does sound similar to a dream I’ve had before.)

What will Decker do next? Well, we’re not sure. But we’ll guess that it’ll be full of adventure.

POSITIVE CONTENT

Decker and friends challenge each other. And while not every challenge will be family friendly (as we’ll discuss below), at least these friends enjoy each other’s company.

CONTENT CONCERNS

But there’s also quite a bit that families will want to note.

Sexual quips are made in some videos, and sometimes, it goes a bit further. In one video, a couple men strip naked and swim in front of men and women, only covered from the viewer by an edited-on emoji. Another two men try being drag queens, and one man’s underwear is briefly visible. Some women are seen in bikinis, and men are seen shirtless. We also hear a couple discussions about sex. Men eat raw meat, including bull testicles.

Jokes about spiritual topics occur, too. When one of Decker’s friends is put in an uncomfortable situation, the phrase “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus” briefly flashes onscreen. Decker plays a prank on strangers where he “walks on water,” and we hear a few references to the biblical account of Jesus. At another moment in that same video, someone jokes about “dark art Mayan rituals.”

Swear words are censored, though it’s still evident what words are being used. However, inappropriate uses of God’s name (including the name of Jesus) go uncensored.

Other YouTubers have posted compelling videos detailing how Airrack has cheated or misled viewers in some of his more recent challenge videos.

CHANNEL SUMMARY

Airrack, like MrBeast and Unspeakable, is a challenge vlogging channel that spends a good amount of money to have fun with friends.

But while MrBeast and Unspeakable tend to be a bit tamer, Airrack leans more heavily adult—especially when it comes to its reliance on sexual topics. For that reason (and for the frequent censored swearing), Airrack likely won’t be something you’ll want to be showing to your children.
